Lavin Water Utilities Mana er �, a <br />, 9 <br />SUBJCCT: <br />Award of Contract for Katz Weil to <br />So Cal Pump & Equipment <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Date: <br />The FY93-94 budget included funds for the rehabilitation of the Katz Well, and the <br />piping and electrical equipment required. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />On May 23, 1994 staff received four bids. The following are the bid results: <br />1. So Cal Pump <br />2. R.C. Foster Corp. <br />3. Tennyson Pipeline <br />4. Slater Inc. <br />$107,673 <br />$1 14, 200 <br />S 1 19,600 <br />$122,640 <br />Staff and the consulting engineer have reviewed the bids and recommend that the <br />low bidder, So Cal Pump and Equipment be awarded the contract. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Sufficient funds are available for the project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council award the Katz Well piping and electrical equipment <br />contract to So Cal Pump and Equipment in the amount of $107,673. <br />LJ/Ij <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of_—_ _ Item No. �� <br />
