CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />for Council Meeting of SEPTEMBER 6, 1994 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: August 30, 1994 <br />FROM: JOHN C. HUTTON, <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: CONSIDER AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2119 TO INCLUDE ADDITIONAL <br />THROUGH STREET AND STOP INTERSECTIONS; AS FOLLOWS: <br />M STREET APPROACHING 5TH STREET THE EAST AND WEST <br />KANSAS AVENUE APPROACHING SCENIC DRIVE FROM THE NORTHWEST <br />VIRGINIA AVENUE APPROACHING SCENIC DRIVE FROM THE NORTHWEST <br />ILLINOIS AVENUE APPROACHING WESTERN AVENUE FROM THE SOUTHWEST <br />AND NORTHEAST. <br />BACK GROUND: <br />There are established traffic patterns in these neighborhoods, but the signage is inconsistent. Stop sign at one <br />intersection and not the next. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />In order to provide a more consistent and safer traffic pattern, the signage should be uniform from block to <br />block. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council approve the attached Resolution to install stop signs at the above mentioned <br />locations. <br />C11'Y MANAGERS CONCURRENCE: <br />Report Prepared by Brian Baden <br />Item <br />I <br />
