<br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve reclassification of the position of Community
<br />Relations Officer to Administrative Assistant, as outlined by Staff. Vote was unanimous.
<br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />Mr. E. H. Robinson, 145 East G Street, Colton, spoke to the City Council regarding actions taken at the meeting
<br />during the evening, the high utility rates, and stated he felt that the Council was discriminatory.

<br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, Mayor Beltran adjourned the
<br />meeting at 9:38 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Thursday, February 3, 1977, at 5:00 p. m., in

<br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
<br />Colton was held on the above given date at 5:00 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Beltran presid-
<br />ing.
<br />ROLL CALL:
<br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Beltran. Also present were City Manager
<br />Huffaker, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos.
<br />EXECUTIVE SESSION:
<br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 5:04 p. m., to discuss Personnel Matters, and reconvened at 6:02
<br />p. m., all Members present.

<br />City Manager Huffaker announced that he will be resigning from his position as City Manager, effective March 14,
<br />1977, at 8:00 a. m.
<br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes, accepting resignation of City Manager Huffaker, effec-
<br />tive March 14, 1977, at 8:00 a. m. Vote was unanimous.
<br />Councilmen Gonzales and Hayes commended Mr. Huffaker for his years of service with the City of Colton, stating it
<br />had been a pleasure working with him, and wished him well with his professional career.
<br />Councilman Rehrer suggested that the Mayor write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Mr. Huffaker.
<br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />Police Chief Phil Elliott advised that two gentlemen from the Meat Cutters Union had been present at the Council
<br />Meeting earlier this evening, and stated they were inquiring about the use of Fleming Park and obtaining a Parade
<br />Permit for Thursday, February 17, 1977.
<br />Mr. Elliott said he had no other details at this time regarding this request, however, he understands that the two
<br />men will be making a formal application at the City Clerk's Office, for submission to the City Council at the next
<br />regular Council Meeting, February 15, 1977.
