sy
Iron Horse Ridge Development
Mrs. Audrey McDonald, representing the Homeowners Association of Iron
Horse Ridge, stated that the homeowners in this private residential
development were requesting that three of the public streets in their
area be taken over by the Homeowners Association and that street
closures be put up to keep their area safe and private, as they are
experiencing a great deal of traffic and circulation from non-residents
in that area.
City Manager Benest referred Mrs. McDonald to Public Works Director
John Hutton.
Noise Pollution
Pastor Stephen Anderson, Healing Waters Church, asked if the City has
an ordinance or regulations with regard to noise pollution and the level
of noise from cars and trucks. Pastor Anderson stated the Mt. Vernon/
Colton Avenue area is very bad and noisy from car radios, stereos, etc.
N
City Manager Benest stated the City is aware
that this is becoming a
nuisance and problem, and Staff will check into
this.
o
o
Mr. John Flores, 817 Valencia, stated he is
a Reserve Deputy
Sheriff,
❑
and the State does have regulations in this
regard, however,
they per-
tain to State routes and highways. Mr. Flores
said he knows
the City
Q
of Los Angeles recently adopted an ordinance
in this regard
and he
would be happy to provide a copy of this for
Colton.
City Attorney Edwards said he would appreciate receiving a copy of this
ordinance.
Animal Licensing
Mr. Henry Mendoza, 464 West "M" Street, requested that the City Manager
or City Attorney also look into the licensing of cats in the City, as
there seems to be an abundance of cats and no restrictions or fees for
them. Mr. Mendoza felt it was discriminating to require licenses for
dogs only.
ADJOURNMENT:
Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Lofy and unanimously
passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:10 p. m.
HELEN A.
