ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 91 1990 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 10:00 a.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Council Members present were Rehrer, Lofy, and Mayor Gonzales. Also <br />present were City Manager Sotelo, City Attorney Edwards, and Deputy <br />City Clerk Veralrud. Absent were Councilwoman Cisneros, Councilman <br />Rios, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />Victory Outreach/Request for Carnival <br />City Manager Sotelo reported on the request from Victory Outreach to <br />hold a Carnival at Veterans Park on July 13, 14 and 15, 1990. <br />Mr. Sotelo continued the three major concerns regarding this event are <br />the legal factor, sufficient insurance, and available space. Mr. Sotelo <br />also referred to Staff's report and 14 conditions of approval. <br />City Attorney Edwards advised as far as the legal factor, the carnival <br />can be permitted. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud stated the City Clerk's Office is awaiting <br />a return call from ICRMA, the City's insurance risk management author- <br />ity, regarding the insurance, however, it is also necessary that Victory <br />Outreach provide proof of their insurance. <br />Mr. Sotelo stated the ballfield in Veterans Park would be the only area <br />available for the Carnival. Mr. Sotelo said details will have to be <br />worked out - how rides will be placed and where, hours of operation, <br />etc. <br />Linda Rosco, Victory Outreach, stated they have no problems with the <br />conditions and requirements as outlined, and they would be happy to <br />provide copies of their insurance coverages, which is in excess of <br />one million dollars. <br />Moved by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve <br />request from Victory Outreach to hold a Carnival in Veterans Park on <br />July 13, 14 and 15, 1990, subject to conditions and requirements as <br />outlined.
