COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 6, 1990 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held <br />on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by Pastor Stephen Anderson of Healing Waters <br />Church. <br />ROLL CALL! <br />Council Members present were Rios, Rehrer, Lofy, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were Acting City Manager Young, City Attorney Edwards, <br />and City Clerk Ramos. Absent was Councilwoman Cisneros due to illness. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Councilman Rehrer requested that Item No. 5 on the Consent Calendar, re- <br />garding a Joint Venture Agreement with Los Padrinos of Southern California, <br />Inc., be removed and referred to the Parks and Recreation Commission for <br />their recommendations. <br />Moved by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the <br />Consent Calendar, with the deletion of Item No. 5. <br />Recreation Services Manager Ray Gonzales spoke to the Council Members <br />about the agreement and submitting the Grant Proposal to the State. Mr. <br />Gonzales advised the Grant application needs to be completed and mailed <br />before March 27, 1990, in order to be eligible to receive the funds. <br />Mr. Tim Gergen, General Manager of Los Padrinos of Southern California, <br />Inc., also spoke to the Council stating that timing is important and it <br />is necessary the Grant be submitted as soon as possible. <br />After additional discussion, Councilman Lofy stated he would withdraw his <br />motion.
