CITY OF COLTON <br />CLOSED SESSION - COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />MAY 16, 2006 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, a Regular Meeting was held on the above <br />given date at 5:02 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, with Mayor Bennett presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Suchil, Mitchell, Ramos, Chastain, De La Rosa, and Mayor <br />Bennett. <br />ABSENT: <br />CM Hernandez <br />City Attorney Derleth announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to discuss <br />items A through C. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — ANTICIPATED AND EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c) and 54956.9(a) <br />Case Name: Calmat Co., et al. v. City of Colton, et al. <br />Case Number: San Bernardino County Superior Court Case No. SCVSS 135476 <br />Number of Anticipated Cases: 1 <br />City Attorney Derleth adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:03 p.m. and at 6:05 p.m.; <br />the meeting reconvened with all members present as heretofore. <br />City Attorney Derleth reported that the Council did meet in Regular Closed Session and <br />discussed Items A through C. CM Mtichell announced that he would recuse himself from Item A <br />as he has a conflict of interest, as Ms. June is a friend. City Attorney Derleth announced on <br />Item C the anticipated litigation regarding the Vulcan Land Band and the Delhi Sand Flower <br />Loving Fly. <br />A.
