CLOSED SESSION — REGULAR COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON <br />UTILITY AUTHORITY/COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY <br />CLOSED SESSION MEETING MINUTES <br />April 20, 2010 <br />Closed Session Meeting was held on the above given date at 5:02 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, with Mayor Pro Tempore Toro presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present: De La Rosa, Yzaguirre, Oliva, Perez, Mayor Pro Tempore Toro and <br />Mayor Chastain (arrived at 5:25 p.m.), Councilmember Bennett <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />City Attorney Derleth announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session to discuss <br />Item A. <br />At 5:03 p.m. CM Oliva announced that she would recuse herself from discussion on Closed <br />Session Items A due to Conflict of Interest as her spouse is retired from the Railroad. <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — ANTICIPATED LITIGATION <br />Initiation of Litigation Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(c) <br />Number of Potential Cases: 1 <br />Mayor Chastain adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:04 p.m. and at 6:04 p.m.; the <br />meeting reconvened with all members present as heretofore. <br />City Attorney Derleth reported that the Council did meet and did confer in Closed Session to <br />discuss Items A with no reportable action and on Item B, direction was given to staff to proceed <br />and defend case. CM Oliva recused herself from discussion due to a conflict of interest as her <br />spouse is retired from the Railroad. <br />A.
