FOLLOWS: <br />169 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3920 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2240 PERSONNEL SYSTEMS RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR <br />THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AS <br />Section 1. Section 5 is hereby added to Rule VIII, Employment <br />lists, of Resolution No. 2240, to read as follows: <br />RULE VIII. EMPLOYMENT LISTS. <br />Section 5. LATERAL ENTRY, POLICE OFFICER: Any person who possesses <br />a Basic Certificate issued by Peace Officer Standards and Training, State of Cali- <br />fornia, or any person who has successfully completed a Basic Academy certified by <br />(o Peace Officer Standards and Training, State of California, may be considered for <br />employment without examination. Such consideration is dependent upon their meeting <br />the minimum requirements of the class and concurrence of the appointing authority <br />Q <br />and personnel officer. For purposes of these rules, such applicants shall be <br />treated as applicants for a transfer for a police officer class only. <br />Section 2. RAMOS, City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3921 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET <br />SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING NUISANCE <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, California, did <br />on March 6, 1979, pass -a resolution declaring that certain weeds growing upon <br />the streets or sidewalks or upon private property within the City of Colton, to <br />be a public nuisance and ordered said weeds to be abated by said City; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 39567.1 of the Government <br />Code, State of California, the City Clerk of the City of Colton caused notices <br />of the proposed abatement to be mailed to all the owners of the property shown <br />on the assessment roll of the County of San Bernardinp; and <br />
