1 RESOLUTION NO. R-35-07 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, PROVIDING <br />3 FOR THE DESIGNATION OF A HISTORICAL LANDMARK WITHIN THE CITY OF <br />COLTON <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has an Ordinance establishing rules and regulations <br />6 governing the designation and perpetuation of historic resources and properties (Ordinance <br />7 0-26-04); and <br />8 WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission did consider at a duly and <br />9 legally held public hearing the designation of the historic landmark; and <br />10 WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission, having studied and researched <br />11 the said designation, recommends approval of said designation based on the finding that the <br />12 <br />13 structure has significant character, interest, and value as part of the development of the <br />14 heritage of the City of Colton; and <br />15 WHEREAS, said property to be designated is delineated as follows: <br />16 Landmark #53 — 280 East D Street <br />17 II WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held by the City Council on March 20, <br />18 I 12007, on the aforesaid recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />19 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton that, <br />20 based on the above finding, the structure located at the aforementioned site is historic <br />21 ally <br />22 significant and should be designated as a permanent historic property in the City of Colton. <br />23 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 2007. <br />24 <br />25 <br />KELLY ASTAIN <br />6 ATTEST: Mayor <br />27 <br />28 v <br />CAROLINA R.
