R-115-08 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />ADOPTING AN AMENDED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE <br />STATUTORY DUTIES OF THE CITY CLERK <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1572 (Colton Municipal Code Section 2.12.010) <br />fixes the salary of the elected position of City Clerk at $370 per month for the statutory <br />duties of the position, and authorizes the City Council to provide by Resolution <br />supplemental compensation for any non-statutory/non-elected duties assigned to the <br />City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. R-132-07 adopted a job description describing the <br />statutory and supplemental duties of the City Clerk which would be effective for the <br />current elected City Clerk, Carolina R. Padilla, during her current term of office; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. R-132-07 provides that the supplemental duties <br />currently performed by Ms. Padilla shall cease immediately upon the end of the current <br />term of office in 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to adopt an amended <br />job description for the position of the elected City Clerk to become effective when the <br />newly elected City Clerk's term of office begins in 2008. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br />SECTION 1: Job Description.
