R-38-10 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA TO ADOPT 1) THE MEASURE "I" CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM FOR FY 2009/2010 THROUGH 2014/2015 AND 2) EXPENDITURE <br />STRATEGY PLAN. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br />pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); <br />WHEREAS, San Bernardino County voters approved passage of Measure I 1990-2010 <br />in November 1989 and renewed as Measure 12010-2040 in November 2004 authorizing San <br />Bernardino Associated Governments, acting as the San Bernardino County Transportation <br />Authority, to impose a one-half of one percent retail transactions and use tax applicable in the <br />incorporated and unincorporated territory of the County of San Bernardino, and <br />WHEREAS, revenue from the tax can only be used for transportation improvement and <br />traffic management programs authorized in the Expenditure Plans set forth in Ordinance No. <br />89-1 and 04-1 of the Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance require each local jurisdiction <br />receiving revenue from the tax to expend those funds pursuant to a Capital Improvement <br />Program and an Expenditure Strategy Plan adopted by resolution of the local jurisdiction; and <br />WHEREAS, Expenditure Plans of the Ordinance also require that each local jurisdiction <br />annually adopt and update its Capital Improvement Plans; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO <br />HEREBY RESOLVE that the City of Colton, State of California, hereby reaffirm and adopt <br />the Fiscal Year 2009/2010 Five Year Measure I Capital Improvement Plan (Exhibit "A"), <br />Expenditure Strategy Plan (Exhibit `B). <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 15th DAY OF JUNE, 2010. <br />ATTEST: <br />ACityEILEEN C.
