R-66-19 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2019-20 (FY19-20) BUDGET TO <br />APPROPRIATE AN ADDITIONAL $108,900 FROM THE BUILDING <br />MAINTENANCE FUND TO THE BUILDING MAINTENANCE DIVISION <br />FOR EMERGENCY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE <br />ELECTRCAL METER SUB PANEL IN THE CIVIC CENTER <br />WHEREAS; the City of Colton is a general law city, duly organized and existing under <br />the laws of the State of California and situated in the County of San Bernardino; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton Civic Center has a 1200 amp electrical meter sub panel <br />in the basement, to provide electric service to the facility; and, <br />WHEREAS, the electrical meter sub panel is in serious disrepair, with exposed wiring <br />that poses a serious safety hazard to the City's employees; and, <br />WHEREAS, the scope of the work is beyond that of the City's in-house maintenance <br />staff; and, <br />WHEREAS, the approved expenditure budget for FY19-20 for the Building <br />Maintenance Internal Services Fund is not sufficient for this emergency repair, and the FYI 9- <br />20 expenditure budget now needs to be amended to increase the appropriation from the Building <br />Maintenance Fund Reserves by $108,900 for the removal and replacement of the electrical meter <br />sub panel; and, <br />WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund unappropriated reserves. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council finds it is appropriate to use Building Maintenance Fund <br />reserves in the amount of $108,900 for the emergency removal and replacement of the <br />electrical meter sub panel at the Civic Center. <br />
