R-30-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO EXECUTE REIMBURSEMENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE <br />RIVERSIDE URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE <br />WHEREAS: The US Department of Homeland Security has made funds available <br />through the FY 2016 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) to provide resources for training, <br />planning, and exercise needs of select high threat urban areas; and <br />WHEREAS: In order for the City of Colton to be reimbursed for various costs associated <br />with attending training, conferences, and other activities to prepare for terrorist events, the UASI <br />requires certain agreements and forms to be signed by the City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS: The UASI requires a Governing Body Resolution in order to authorize the <br />City Manager to execute agreements and other forms on behalf of the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />This Resolution will serve as a Governing Body Resolution authorizing the City Manager <br />to execute the required agreements and/or documentation with the UASI and California Office of <br />Emergency Services in order to process reimbursement for various training, conferences, and <br />other activities to prepare for terrorist events. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16"' day of Ma 17 <br />AT T: RICHARD A.
