I RESOLUTION NO. R-68-17 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />3 AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR 2017/2018 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO <br />APPROPRIATE FUNDING FOR THE BARTON ROAD BRIDGE REMOVAL AND <br />4 ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. <br />5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has received Caltrans administered Federal Highway <br />6 Bridge Program (HBP), and funding for the Barton Road Bridge Removal and Road <br />7 <br />Construction Project. (Project); and <br />8 <br />9 WHEREAS, SAFETEA-LU made States eligible to use Federal HBP Funds (23 U.S.C. <br />10 144d); and <br />11 WHEREAS, Through the HBP, Caltrans issues grants to owners of local bridges for <br />12 replacement of structurally deficient or functionally obsolete bridges. The City of Colton will <br />13 <br />14 be completely reimbursed for the Preliminary Engineering (Design and Environmental), Right <br />15 of way and Construction Phase of the project, with HBP providing 88.53% and 11.47% as local <br />16 match equally split between Colton and Grand Terrace; and <br />17 WHEREAS, The City of Colton local match is already available in expenditure account <br />18 no. 249-1803-6900-3890; and <br />19 <br />20 WHEREAS, Funds expended by the City for eligible and approved costs of the Project <br />21 are reimbursable through the Caltrans HBP program per Program Supplement No. F018 and the <br />22 City of Grand Terrace per Cooperative Agreement between the two cities for this Project; and <br />23 WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in 2017-2018 Fiscal <br />24 Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. <br />25 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />26 <br />21 CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />28 Section 1 The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />1 <br />
