R-70-17 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE REVISED ANNUAL GANN <br />LIMIT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2015-16 <br />WHEREAS, the voters of California, on November 6, 1979, added Article XIII -B to <br />the State Constitution placing various limitations on the appropriations of the state and local <br />governments; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII -B provides that the appropriations limit for the Fiscal Year <br />2016-17 is calculated by adjusting the base year appropriations of Fiscal Year 1978-79 for j <br />changes in the cost of living and population; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has complied with all the provisions of Article XIII -B <br />in determining the appropriations limit for Fiscal Year 2015-16 utilizing the County <br />population index; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton must make the necessary determinations regarding <br />the use of a cost -of -living index change and the population index change beginning in 2015- <br />16. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the revised appropriations limit for <br />Fiscal Year 2015-16 shall be $68,247,528 for the City of Colton as reflected in Schedules A I <br />and B; and <br />1 <br />
