R-20-15 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT 01 TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF EDUCATION CONTRACT CSPP-4393 FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />PRESCHOOL SERVICES IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION <br />DIVISION OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015, AND AMENDING THE 2014/15 FISCAL YEAR <br />BUDGET TO REFLECT AN INCREASE IN FUNDING FOR THE <br />PROVISION OF PRESCHOOL SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton entered into Contract CSPP-4393 with the California <br />Department of Education on July 15, 2014, for the provision of preschool services by the Early <br />Childhood Education Division of the Community Services Department, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Education has issued Amendment 01 to this Contract <br />CSPP-4393, increasing the contract allocation of funds from $406,627 to $437,620. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve as <br />follows: <br />Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be true, adopted as <br />findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br />Section 2: City Council approves the State of California Contract Amendment 01 to Contract <br />CSPP-4393, for the provision of preschool services in the Early Childhood Education Division <br />of the Community Services Department. <br />Section 3: The City Manager, as Executive Director of the program, is hereby authorized to <br />sign the applicable documents on behalf of the City to execute this agreement. <br />
