1 <br />2 RESOLUTION NO. R-30-15 <br />3 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AMEND <br />4 THE FISCAL YEAR 2014/2015 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO <br />APPROPRIATE $596,430 FOR THE INTERSTATE 10/PEPPER AVENUE <br />5 INTERCHANGE PROJECT <br />6 <br />7 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the safety of the <br />8 <br />bridges and traffic circulation within City jurisdiction; and <br />9 <br />10 WHEREAS, the City of Colton intends to improve the interchange on Interstate 10 (1-10) <br />I 1 at Pepper Avenue (PROJECT) in the City of Colton; and <br />12 WHEREAS, the PROJECT received federal grants through the County of San <br />13 Bernardino to be administered by San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG), thus <br />14 providing an opportunity to complete PROJECT at a relatively low cost to the City; and <br />15 WHEREAS, the City of Colton is willing to participate in funding the PROJECT <br />16 pursuant to the provisions of the 2013 Development Mitigation Nexus Study prepared and <br />17 approved by SANBAG; and <br />18 <br />WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in the 2014-2015 <br />19 <br />Fiscal Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />23 CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />24 Section 1 The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />25 incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />26 Section 2 The City Council authorizes an appropriation of $596,430 in the Traffic Impact <br />27 Fee Fund (Fund 249) Account No. 249-1000-6900-2350 for the I-10/Pepper Interchange Project. <br />28 <br />
