I RESOLUTION NO. R-104-15 <br />2 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING <br />3 THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE RECREATIONAL TRAILS <br />4 PROGRAM <br />5 WHEREAS, the "Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A <br />6 Legacy for Users" provides funds to the State of California for Grants to federal, state, local <br />7 <br />and non-profit organizations to acquire, develop and/or maintain motorized and non -motorized <br />s <br />trail Projects; and <br />9 <br />10 WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br />I I responsibility for the administration of the program within the State, setting up necessary <br />12 procedures governing Project Application under the program; and <br />13 <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and <br />14 <br />Is Recreation require the Applicant to certify by resolution the approval of Application before <br />16 submission of said Application to the State; and <br />17 WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a Contract with the State of California to <br />18 complete the Project(s). <br />19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />20 <br />OF COLTON HEREBY: <br />21 <br />22 1. Approves the filing of an Application for the Recreational Trails Program; and <br />23 Certifies that the Project is consistent with the Applicant's general plan or the equivalent <br />24 planning document; and <br />25 2. Certifies that said Applicant has or will have available prior to commencement of any <br />26 <br />27 work on the Project included in this Application, sufficient funds to operate and maintain <br />28 the Project; and <br />3. Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General <br />Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide; and <br />
