R-01-11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000.00 FROM THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, FOR THE CITIZEN OPTION <br />FOR PUBLIC SAFETY (COPS) AND AMEND THE 2010/2011 FISCAL <br />BUDGET. <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, <br />2010 and ending June 30, 2011 was approved and adopted; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, On October 18, 2010, the State of California, Department of Justice <br />awarded a grant in the amount of $100,000.00 to the City of Colton Police Department for <br />the Citizen Option for Public Safety; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does resolve as follows: <br />Section 1 It is necessary to approve and accept this State of California, Department of <br />Justice COPS grant in the amount of $100,000.00 to the Revenue Account 225- <br />5890-000 <br />Section 2 The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and incorporated herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of January, 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />EILEEN C.
