-70 <br />City of <br />01ton <br />Proclamation <br />YOUTH ART MONTH <br />MARCH 1993 <br />WHEREAS, Art offers an opportunity for the youths of our nation to express <br />their emotions creatively and .increase their sense of self-worth <br />and feelings of accomplishment; and, <br />rd FIIIEREAS, it is important that the public become more cognizant of the <br />artistic creations of our youth and provide more programs to <br />further their creative abilities; and, <br />4` ?, WHEREAS, it is appropriate that we recognize the creative efforts of our <br />r �w <br />youth and encourage their participation in artistic programs; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, sensitivity and concern for the human elements in our society is <br />f f learned through the study of the arts; and, <br />? UtE3&.AS, art is a part of our cultural heritage and a personal or com- <br />munity experience and, <br />` WHRAS, it is significant that our youths be made more aware of the arts <br />` as a vital part of their lives and as an opportunity to discover <br />y and direct their own creative potential_ <br />� f NOW, MMWORE, B IT RE90LVED that I, Frank A.
