Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />SUBJECT: Request Recruitment and Ratification of Employee Appointment <br />the Full-time Position of Maintenance Worker I in the Par <br />Division of the Parks, Recreation & Family Services Department <br />DATE: March 11. 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />There is a need to fill one, (1), Maintenance Worker I position in the Parks Division of the <br />Parks, Recreation and Family Services Department. The salary range is $2101 - $2555 <br />per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />This full-time position became available when the City Council authorized the creation of <br />Landscape Lighting & Maintenance District #2 at their March 5, 2002 meeting. An existing <br />eligibility list will be used to hire the new employee. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Funding for this Internal Service Fund position for Fiscal Year 2002/2003 are available in <br />Accounts No. 701-6200-6220-1010, (salary) and 701-6200-6220-1100, (salary related <br />benefits). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the recruitment and ratification of an <br />employee appointment to the newly budgeted full-time position of Maintenance Worker I, <br />for the LLMD #2, in the Parks, Recreation and Family Services Department. <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY <br />City Attorney: �o' Finance Director: <br />City Manager:`lC� --- OTHER: 1r <br />
