COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 1, 1994 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:43 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE• <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />INVOCATION• <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Glen C. Harris. <br />ROLL CALL• <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager <br />Young, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />APPRECIATION• <br />Mayor Gonzales turned the meeting over to Mayor Pro Tempore Cook <br />who enthusiastically thanked the Fire Department's Paramedics. She <br />indicated the City's Paramedics are the best! She declared she was <br />in good health and thanked everyone for the flowers, cards and <br />their prayers. <br />Recognition <br />Mayor Gonzales described the role of Miss Colton and her Court and <br />then introduced Queen Rosa Salazar, Senior Princess Alice Chow and <br />Junior Princess Lorraine Sanchez. Councilmember Sandoval remarked <br />that he personally knew the young women which had made his job as <br />judge more difficult. He said it was a pleasure to have these <br />young women represent the City of Colton and expressed appreciation <br />for their service. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: There were no requests. <br />AGENDA REVIEW• <br />Councilmember Rios asked that Item No. 5 be pulled for discussion. <br />Director Gale Drews reported the Electric Department has budgeted <br />to purchase an electric vehicle for its own experiment with the <br />1 <br />FEB 0 1 1994 <br />
