COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 20, 1996 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held ;on the above given <br />date at 6:38 p. m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation by Chaplain Jim Stovall <br />ROLL CALL <br />Councilmernbers present were Hutton, Hansen, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran, and Mayor <br />Fulp. Also present were City Manager Freeman, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Delgado. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS; <br />Presentations, Awards. Proclamations <br />* Mayor Fulp reported that Taormina Industries/Colton Disposal was conducting an <br />information night, at the Colton High School Auditorium, about the City's new <br />automated refuse collection, yard waste and recycling program. <br />Councilmember Hutton read the Proclamation declaring August 24 1996 as California <br />,Progressive Squares Day,,. <br />Councilmember Hansen read the Proclamation declaring September 16 - 22, 1996 as <br />Pollution Prevention Week." <br />Councilmember Bennett read the Proclamation declaring July 28, 1996 as "National <br />Parents Day." She apologized for the delay in the announcement. <br />* Presentation by Ray Terreal, President of the Colton Kiwanis Club, a check- for <br />$500.00 to the City of Colton Police Department's program, "Cops & Jocks. <br />1 <br />AUG 2 011996 <br />
