R-06 -92 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, AMENDING AND ADOPTING LOCAL GUIDELINES <br />FOR IMPLEMENTING THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL <br />QUALITY ACT AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. R-57-91 <br />WHEREAS, the California Legislature has amended the <br />California Environmental Quality Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 21082 of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act ("CEQA") requires all public agencies to adopt <br />objectives, criteria and procedures for the evaluation of public <br />and private projects undertaken or approved by such public <br />agencies, and the preparation, if required, of environmental <br />impact reports in connection therewith; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton must revise <br />its local guidelines for implementing CEQA to make them <br />consistent with the current provisions of CEQA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the <br />City of Colton as follows; <br />SECTION ONE: Adoption of Local CEOA Guidelines. The Citylll <br />Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts "Local Guidelines for <br />Implementing the California Environmental Quality Act (19911 <br />Revision)," a copy of which is on file at the City Councili <br />offices and is available for inspection by the public. <br />SECTION TWO: Prior Actions Repealed. All prior actions of <br />the City Council enacting earlier guidelines are hereby repealed <br />including, but not limited to, Resolution No. R-57-91. <br />SECTION THREE: Duties of the Community Development <br />Department Director. The Community Development Director ("The <br />Director") shall act as staff and shall make all preliminary <br />investigations/determinations as to the applicability of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act.
