R-02-95 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING THE NEW COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT PROJECT, "CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM" AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE REPROGRAMMING OF $67,208 OF <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE <br />ACTIVITIES, "GRAFFITI REMOVAL PROGRAM - TARGET AREAS, <br />$46,208," AND "GRAVESTONE RESTORATION - AGUA MANSA <br />CEMETERY, $21,000," TO THE PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has developed a new <br />community improvement project entitled, "Code Enforcement Program" and <br />wishes to utilize Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for its <br />implementation; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is designed to reduce and eliminate <br />blighted, unsafe and unhealthy conditions in the City's neighborhoods and will <br />principally benefit low and moderate income residents; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino Department of Economic <br />and Community Development has informed the City that the proposed project <br />is an eligible activity and qualifies for use of Community Development Block <br />Grant funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton approves the project, "Code Enforcement Program" and <br />authorizes the reprogramming of Community Development Block Grant funds <br />in the following manner: <br />1. Colton: Graffiti Removal Program - Target Areas <br />(transfer from) $46,208 <br />2. Colton: Gravestone Restoration - Agua Mansa <br />Cemetery (transfer from) $21,000 <br />
