R-113-96 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON ACKNOWLEDGING THE <br />AMERICAN LEGION, COLTON POST NO. 155, AS <br />THE LEAD AGENCY FOR THE "MEMORIAL DAY" <br />AND "VETERAN'S DAY" AFFAIRS. <br />WHEREAS, The American Legion, Colton Post No. 155, has been chartered since July <br />6, 1922 in the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, the membership of Colton Post No. 155 is made up of veterans of all the <br />wars and conflicts that the United States of America has been involved in; and <br />WHEREAS, the membership of Colton Post No. 155 has members in the Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans, Catholic War Veterans and Air Borne Association Members. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that, the City Council of the City of Colton <br />does hereby acknowledge the American Legion, Colton Post No. 155, to be the Lead Agency in <br />the City of Colton, and act as the focal point for organizing Veteran's Programs for the City of <br />Colton. The American Legion, Colton Post No. 155, shall ensure that all organizations of <br />Veterans in the City of Colton will be contacted and asked to be involved in all affairs of <br />Veterans within this City. Those affairs of Veterans being the "Memorial Day" and "Veteran's <br />Day" activities and any other affairs that the City of Colton will ask of the Veterans. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17'day of September 1996. <br />ATTEST: <br />eresa Delgado, nter' 'ity Clerk <br />ONMEt. � � <br />
