2021 JULY 20 CC/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 1 - <br />CITY COUNCIL/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />CLOSED SESSION MINUTES <br /> <br />July 20, 2021 <br /> <br />Closed Session Meeting was held on the above given date at 5:01 p.m., in City Hall, located at 650 North La <br />Cadena Drive, Colton, California with Mayor Navarro presiding. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Toro, Koperski, González, Echevarria, Suchil, and Mayor Navarro; MPT <br />Cisneros absent/excused. <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Smith, City Attorney Campos, and City Clerk Padilla. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Attorney Campos announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session to Discuss Item A. <br /> <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 <br />Agency designated representatives: Tom Cody, Interim Human Resources Director Employee Groups: <br />Teamsters Mid-Managers Unit <br /> Teamsters General Employees Unit <br />International Brotherhood of Electric Workers, Local 47 - Electric Division <br />International Brotherhood of Electric Workers, Local 47 - Water/Wastewater Division <br />Colton Police Officers Association (CPOA) <br /> Colton Police Management Association (CPMA) <br />Colton Police Dispatchers Association (CPDA) <br />Colton Firefighters Association (CFA) <br />Confidential Employees <br />Executive Employees <br /> <br />Mayor Navarro adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:02 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. the meeting reconvened, <br />with all members present heretofore. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos announced that the City Council did meet in Closed Session and discussed Item A; with <br />direction to staff and no reportable action; <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION (Cont’d – 05/18/2021 Closed Session Council Meeting, Item B) <br /> <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) <br />Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board - Martin Rangels, Claim No. 20816237 <br />Reportable Action: Workers Compensation Appeal Board case of Martin Rangels, the City Council approved in <br />closed session the settlement of this case and the case has now settled for the amount of $60,000 which is within <br />the authority granted by the City Council in closed session. <br /> <br />*************************************************************************** <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/
