R-01-98 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPOINTING CITY MANAGER AND SETTING <br />COMPENSATION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has approved the Employment <br />Agreement Between the City of Colton and the City Manager (the "Agreement"), more partciularly <br />described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto, for the purpose of employing Henry Garcia as the City <br />Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement sets forth the compensation and describes the duties of <br />the City Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.16 requires the City Manager to be <br />appointed by the adoption of a resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.16 requires the City Manager's <br />compensation to be determined and fixed by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Agreement is otherwise consistent with the provisions of Chapter 2.16 <br />of the Colton Municipal Code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF COLTON AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Henry Garcia is hereby appointed as City Manager for the City of Colton <br />in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement. <br />SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any prior resolution to the contrary, the City Manager's <br />compensation for Henry Garcia shall be as set forth in the Agreement. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of January, 1998., <br />ATTEST: <br />44f - <br />P.
