R-01-02 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF LEASE <br />REVENUE BONDS, 2002 SERIES A, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $7.2 MILLION, APPROVING A PROJECT <br />LEASE, A LEASE AGREEMENT, AN AGENCY AGREEMENT, A <br />PRELIMINARY OFFICIAL STATEMENT, A F{NAL OFFICIAL <br />STATEMENT, A CONTINUING DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT, [AND A <br />MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSE FEE PLEDGE], AND AUTHORIZING <br />OFFICIAL ACTIONS AND EXECUTION OF RELATED DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Public Financing Authority (the "Authority") has <br />formed pursuant to a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement by the City of Colton (t <br />"City') and the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton (the "Agency"), and <br />authorized under said Agreement and under the laws of the State of California <br />finance the acquisition and construction of public capital improvements for any of <br />members; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has requested the Authority to issue its Lease <br />Bonds, 2002 Series A(the "Bonds") for the purpose of financing all or a portion of <br />construction of the recreational facilities comprising the Big League Dreams Project ( <br />"Facilities") within and of benefit to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has heretofore held a public hearing pursuant to Sectio <br />6586.5 of the California Government Code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority has approved issuance of the Lease Revenue Bond <br />and the use of the proceeds thereof to finance the Facilities; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of C <br />as follows: <br />Finding of Significant Public Benefits.
