R-109-02 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE COLTON UTILITY <br />AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE <br />BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEARS COMMENCING JULY 1, 2001 AND ENDING <br />JUNE 30, 2003; INCLUDING MID -YEAR BUDGET REVIEW APRIL 2, 2002 <br />WHEREAS, the Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal years commencing July 1; <br />2002 and ending June 30, 2003 was approved and adopted on June 15, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, a mid -year financial report with recommended budget adjustments was <br />approved by the City Council and Colton Utility Authority on April 2, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, The Reallocation of Appropriations between departmental activities may <br />be made by the City Manager, Amendments (increases/decreases) to the Budget shall be by <br />approval and Resolution of the City Council and Utility Authority. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: It has been necessary to make an amendment to the 2001/2002 Fiscal <br />Year Budget, adjusting the Wastewater Division's budget, with funding from Retained <br />Earnings. The change is necessary to cover the cost of salary and benefit increases <br />resulting from the newly created position of Assistant Wastewater Utilities Manager. <br />1. The Wastewater Retained Earnings is hereby <br />decreased in the amount of $102,400. <br />11/llI llll <br />
