<br />CITY COUNCIL/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />CLOSED SESSION MINUTES <br /> <br />June 21,2022 <br /> <br />Closed Session Meeting held on the above given date at 5:00 p.m., in City Hall, located at 650 North La Cadena <br />Drive, Colton, California with Mayor Navarro presiding. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were Cisneros, Koperski, González, Echevarria, Suchil; and Mayor Navarro; <br />Councilmember Toro absent/excused. <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Smith, City Attorney Campos, and City Clerk Padilla. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Attorney Campos announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session to Discuss Item A/B/C. <br /> <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - POTENTIAL LITIGATION <br />(Government Code section 54956.9(d)(2)) <br />One (1) Potential Case <br /> <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATORS <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 <br />Agency designated representatives: Tom Cody, Human Resources Director <br />Employee Groups: International Brotherhood of Electric Workers, Local 47 - Electric Division <br /> <br />C. CLOSED SESSION - CM EVALUATION <br />Public Employee Performance Evaluation <br />Title: City Manager <br /> <br />Mayor Navarro adjourned the meeting to Closed Session at 5:01 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m., the meeting reconvened, <br />with all members present heretofore. <br /> <br />City Attorney Campos announced that the City Council did meet in Closed Session and discussed Item A/B/C; <br />with direction to staff and no reportable action; <br /> <br />City Attorney Reports/Reportable Action Update <br />City Attorney Campos informed Council on a report from a previous closed session item that has now become <br />final and thus reportable. In the case of Maria Montoya v. City of Colton, which was agendized as Item B at the <br />April 5, 2022 meeting, San Bernardino Superior Court, Case No. CIVDS 2003863; the City Council authorized <br />$200,000 to settle this lawsuit and the case settled for $177,100.
