R-02-23 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ALLOWING THE <br /> SUBMISSION OF THE CA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES- <br /> 4 CONITUED FUNDING APPLICATION (CDSS-CFA) FOR THE <br /> EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION DIVISION OF THE COMMUNITY <br /> 5 SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR FY 23-24 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 WHEREAS, the City of Colton, Early Care and Education Division of the Community <br /> 8 Services Department holds one(1)California Department of Education(CDE)Contract for State <br /> Preschool (CSPP Contract), and one (1) California Department of Social Services (CDSS) <br /> io <br /> Contract for General Child Care for School Aged Children(CCTR Contract), thus considered a <br /> it <br /> CDE and CDSS Funded Agency. <br /> 1? <br /> 13 <br /> 14 WHEREAS, The ECE Division submits the "Continued Funding Application"(CFA) every <br /> 15 Fiscal Year to CDSS,to renew the aforementioned CCTR Contract. In all previous years,Board <br /> 16 <br /> Approval and a Resolution were not a requirement, nor part of the CFA Packet. The signatory <br /> I <br /> authority previously granted to the City Manager, who is the Executive Director of ECE, was <br /> 18 <br /> 9 sufficient. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 WHEREAS, In FY 23-24 the CFA requirements changed, and now Board Approval and a <br /> 22 <br /> Resolution are required with the CFA submission. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 <br /> 25 WHEREAS, similar to FY 22-23, CCTR contractors who apply for and are approved for <br /> 26 Continued Funding will not need to sign and return a CCTR contract to provide services for FY <br /> 27 2023-24. CCTR contractors who apply for and are approved for Continued Funding through the <br /> 28 <br /> CFA process will be automatically renewed in accordance with all applicable federal and state <br />
