Echevarria <br /> Council Members Absent <br /> None <br /> CEREMONIAL MATTERS <br /> Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br /> • Recognition- 2023 Recreation Employee of the Year <br /> Recreational Services Manager, Heidi Strutz recognized Alex Pacheco, Senior Recreation Leader as the <br /> 2023 Recreation Employee of the Year. Alex Pacheco's fellow coworkers voted him to be the obvious <br /> choice for this honor based on him being a good role model, leader, and team member who represents <br /> the Community Service Department and their Core Values. Strutz described Pacheco's Journey working <br /> for the City starting in 2019 and praised his willingness to serve and the dedication he has shown which <br /> has made him an essential member of the Community Services team. <br /> • Proclamation- Women Who Spark- Innovation in Utilities <br /> Mayor Navarro read a Proclamation Certificate—Woman Who Spark- Innovation in Utilities, and <br /> recognized Jessica Sutorus, Environmental Conservation Supervisor, for being nominated and selected <br /> for the award. She is recognized for her accomplishments in innovation for the work she has <br /> accomplished in developing an urban forest management plan,the Electric vehicle program, and for <br /> securing grants and new revenue streams for the City of Colton. <br /> June 6,2023 Regular City Council Meeting 1- <br />
