1 RESOLUTION NO. 2313 <br /> 2 AMENDMENT TO CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND <br /> REGULATIONS ADOPTED APRIL 3, 1962. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton that <br /> 5 Resolution No. 2240 be and is hereby amended as follows: <br /> 6 SECTION 1. That a new section is hereby added to Resolution <br /> 7 No. 2240 to be numbered Rule XII Examinations, Section 4(a). <br /> 81 SECTION 4(a). ln any examination in which city employees do not <br /> 9f <br /> compete, a qualified veteran who successfully passes the examination may <br /> 10 have a 5% preference bonus added to his final score. A qualified veteran <br /> 11 means a veteran who prior to the examination has been honorably discharged <br /> 12 after service in the Armed Forces of the United States during time of armed <br /> 13 conflict including states of national emergency as declared by the President <br /> 14 of the United States and also including service in armed conflict activities of <br /> 15 United States units for the United Nations.
