CLARKE, UTILITIES DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF GTS AND ASSOCIATES TO DESIGN THE FY00-01 MISSING <br />LINKS PROJECTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $23,280 <br />DATE: MAY 7, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The FYOO-01 Stormwater Capital Improvement budget includes funding for the drainage studies <br />and the installation of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, handicap ramps and drive approaches at the <br />following locations: <br />DISTRICT 1 PROJECT: <br />1. NEC Watwood and Grand: 25 L.F. of Missing Curb & Gutter and (1) Handicap Ramp <br />There is curb and gutter on Watwood and on Citrus, but not at the corner. The area is <br />covered in grass and weeds, and does not allow for proper drainage to a catch basin. <br />Work to be performed by the Public Works Department, cost for project to be paid <br />by Stormwater. <br />DISTRICT 2 PROJECTS: <br />200 & 202 Johnston and between 132 & 162 Johnston (south side): 150 L.F. Missing <br />Curb and Gutter; (2) Drive Approaches <br />Work to be performed by the Public Works Department, cost for project to be paid <br />by Stormwater. <br />2. Johnston between Hunter & Flood Control Channel: 25 L.F. Curb & Gutter; (1) Drive <br />Approach; (1) Storm Drain; (1) Cross Gutter; 500 Sq. Ft. Alley Paving <br />145 to 138 Johnston (north side) curb, gutter and driveway double -wide approach and <br />partial paving of alley where water is ponding. Install cross gutter on Johnston @ 8th. <br />Installation of underground storm drain from Hunter Rd. east to Lytle Creek Flood <br />Control Channel. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />Item #16 <br />
