CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF June 5, 2001 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: City Attorney <br />SUBJECT: City Manager Employment Agreement <br />DATE: May 30, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The issue of public employee appointment for the position of City Manager was on the <br />closed session agenda for May 21, 2001. At that time, the City Council directed the City <br />Attorney to prepare an employment agreement between the City and Daryl Parrish with the <br />agreed upon terms and conditions. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Attached to this report are two versions of an employment agreement between the City and <br />Daryl Parrish. The terms and conditions of both versions of the employment agreement <br />are identical except for the Term set forth in Section 5. In version #1, the Term of the <br />employment agreement is for two years. In version #2, the Term of the employment <br />agreement is for three years. Daryl Parrish is requesting that the City Council approve <br />version #2. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />1. Adopt version #1 of the Employment Agreement Between the City of Colton and the <br />City Manager. <br />2.
