CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF August 7, 2001 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council 21 <br />FROM: Ron Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services <br />Item #19 <br />I SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park & Band Shell, by the City's Parks, Recreation & Family <br />Services Department for the Annual Halloween Carnival <br />I DATE: July 30, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The annual Halloween Carnival has been an annual event for a number of years. The event is held in <br />conjunction with various area community services organizations. The Carnival provides an alternative to <br />door to door "trick or treating" and a safe environment for the youth of our community. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />This year's event is planned for Saturday, October 27. Use of the park will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. <br />Fleming Park is an ideal setting located in the center of town with easy access for all residents. Staff will <br />provide games, entertainment and lots of candy for the children.
