Item #15
CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF August 7, 2001
TO: Honorable City Council
FROM: Ronald C. Kenny, Director of Parks, Recreation & Family Services
SUBJECT: Approve Request for In-house Recruitment, Ratification and
Appointment to the Full time Position of Maintenance Worker III
Within the Building Maintenance Division
DATE: July 26, 2001
BACKGROUND:
With the recent transfer of a Maintenance Worker III from Building Maintenance Division to the
Public Works Department, there is now a need to begin a recruitment/promotion process.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
The Building Maintenance Division has one budgeted Maintenance Worker III position. Because
of the expertise and experience level needed within the division, it is very important that this
position be filled. The Maintenance Worker III would also be in charge of the division should the
Building Maintenance Supervisor be absent.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The position currently appears in the City's FY 2001/2002 budget funded as follows: Account
#100-605-6200-1010, (salary), and Account #100-605-6200-1100.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve recruitment and ratification of in-house recruitment, to the full time position of
Maintenance Worker III in the Building Maintenance Division of the Parks, Recreation and
Family Services Department.
REVIEW TEAM ONLY
City Attorney: Finance Director:
City Manager: OTHER:
Item #15
