CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
For Council Meeting April 6, 1993
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
FROM: WILLIAM M. GLICKMAN, Date: 3/15/93
INTERIM DIRECTOR OF PUB ORKS/CITY ENGINEER
SUBJECT: CONSENT TO SEEK PUBLIC BIDS FOR THE REPAIR AND
INSTALLATION OF DRAINAGE FACILITIES AND OTHER AMENITIES TO
THE WEST SIDE COMMUNITY PARK
In January 1990 the construction of drainage facilities commenced
for the West Valley area of Colton. Those facilities included the
construction of a detention basis and landscape improvements in the
area that is now considered the West Side Community Park located on
the Southside of San Bernardino Avenue West of Eucalyptus Avenue.
The improvements were built with funds from special taxes assessed
as part of the Community Facilities District No. 87-1
DISCUSSION
Due to the severe storm conditions the City experienced recently,
the West Side Detention Basin and surrounding Landscape
Improvements were damaged and the site is in need of immediate
repair. The repairs have been estimated to exceed $5,000. It
will be necessary to seek public bids for this work.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
It is the districts intent to fund the drainage facility repairs
with C.F.D. 87-1 resources and the landscape and related items with
Landscape Maintenance District funds.
J;w Flo. 1/
