TO RELINQUISH CERTAIN PUBLIC <br />UTILITY EASEMENTS ACROSS PARCEL 7 OF PARCEL MAP 13631 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Wal-Mart Stores Inc.. developed over several parcels created as part -of Parcel <br />Map No. 13631 of which originally provided for on site/interior Public <br />Utility Service. <br />With the development of one large project in lieu of several individualized <br />projects, the number of utility easements originally thought necessary are no <br />longer needed or were relocated to accommodate construction of the Wal-Mart <br />building. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is requesting that the City of Colton relin <br />claim the utility easements shown on Parcel Map 13631 numbered as ease entu# <br />and #18 as they are no longer necessary and create a cloud over Wal -Mar <br />title on the property. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff has reviewed the request by Wal-Mart to relinquish the easements <br />described and would concur with Wal -Marts request. <br />Staff recommends that the City Of Colton relinquish described easement <br />numbers 1 and 18 shown on Parcel Map No. 13631 as they have no further <br />purpose for public use. <br />Concurrence <br />Report by John C.
