Barrera was sworn in on <br />December 3, 1996 to the position of City Clerk. The monthly salary for the City Clerk is $370 and <br />is set by Ordinance No. 1572. In the past all elected officials, including the City Clerk, have <br />enjoyed the same benefits package provided to members of the Executive Unit. However, for the <br />elected offices of City Treasurer and City Clerk, this must be authorized by the City Council by <br />resolution. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: The attached resolution is submitted to the City Council for <br />consideration and approval. This resolution authorizes the current City Clerk, Ms. Carolina P. <br />Barrera, to receive the same benefits package as the members of the Executive Unit. <br />RECOMMENDATION: nmt the City Council adopt the attached resolution authorizing the <br />.- Executive Unit's benefit package for the City Clerk. <br />r <br />Item No. 9 <br />
