Rogers Child Care Unit <br />Date: July 10, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On April 15, 1997, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Mobile Modular <br />for the construction of the Paul J. Rogers Child Care facility. The amount of the contract <br />award was $112,012.50. In order to assure compliance with State licensing, as well as <br />meeting conditions of the Colton Joint Unified School District, it is necessary to make <br />some minor modifications to the facility. In addition, the Electric Department is <br />requesting that minor modifications be made to the facility electrical distribution panel, <br />in order to better facilitate the electrical connection at the site. This project is funded by <br />way of the Community Development Block Grant Program. There is a total project <br />budget of $136,000. Less the contract award, a project fund balance of $23,987.50 <br />remains. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The total cost of the requested change order with Mobile Modular is in the amount of <br />$2,306.06.
