CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 17,1997 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: Gracie Fernandez Harmon, Acting City Manager <br />FROM: JOHN C. HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTO <br />SUBJECT: CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED TO BID FOR <br />OFF-SITE STREET IMPROVEMENTS, COUNTY HOSPITAL <br />PROJECT <br />DATE: JUNE 5,1997 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Colton entered into an agreement with the County of San Bernardino to act as lead <br />agency for the construction of Public Street Improvements around the new County Hospital Site. <br />The agreement provides for these improvements to be constructed by certain dates in order to <br />accommodate for the hospital opening date. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Although a few remaining items related to the regional storm drain facility and Interim Detention <br />Basins are still under negotiations, this remaining subject and its final solution, should be of no <br />direct impactor require any substantial changes to the design of the off-site street improvements. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />All costs related to the improvements for the County Hospital Project have been funded by the <br />County of San Bernardino, including the construction management being performed by <br />Arrowhead Management Group. <br />on, Public Works Director <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff would recommend that Council authorize the advertising for bids on the off-site <br />improvements for the County Hospital Project by Arrowhead Management, the Project <br />Consultant, in order to meet the dates under the terms of the agreement. <br />Item No. 6 <br />
