CLARKE, UTILITY DIRECTO <br />SUBJECT: AWARD OF BID FOR THE REHABILITATION OF RIALTO <br />RESERVOIR #2 IN THE AMOUNT OF $154,000 TO APEX PAINTING <br />DATE: MARCH 23, 1998 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The State Department of Health Services has directed to the City to rehabilitate Rialto <br />Reservoir #2. The rehabilitation includes the removal and re -coating of the interior <br />walls along with the installation of appurtenances to bring the reservoir into compliance <br />with State standards. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />On March 23, 1898 staff received bids for the Rehabilitation= of Rialto Reservoir #2. <br />The results are as follows: <br />1 • <br />2. <br />Apex Painting <br />Robison-Prezioso <br />$154,000 <br />3• <br />A.J. Fistes <br />$171,600 <br />4. <br />Spiess Construction <br />$174,800 <br />$178,190 <br />5. <br />San Luis Tank <br />$242,341 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The FY97-98 Water Reservoir's Capital Improvement account has funds budgeted for <br />the rehabilitation work.
