TO:
APPROVAL:
FROM:
SUBJECT:
TE:
CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
OR COUNCH, MEETING OF JANUARY 19,1999
HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL
HENRY T. GARCIA, CITY MANAGER
Timothy R. Wilson, P.E., A.I.A., City Engineer's Office
Additional funding for the North La Cadena Interconnect
Project in the City of Colton
t 1, 1999
BACKGROUND:
The City of Colton North La Cadena Interconnect Project consists of the interconnection
between and improvements to signalized intersections located between Valley Blvd. and
Mt. Vernon in the City of Colton.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
The North LaCadena Signal Interconnect Project I now under construction. Caltrans has
accepted the revised agreements and has issued the notice to proceed. Revisions were
required since Caltrans rejected the 10% contingency allowance request and has limited
their reimbursement of the project to the original $360,000. Without Caltran's acceptance
of the 10% contingency, ($36,000), we must appropriate that amount from other funding
sources.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
$36,000 reduction from the Traffic Impact Fund. (Fund #249-6900-6910.-3890)
RECOMMENDATION•
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize an expenditure of $36,000 for this
project from the Traffic Impact Fund.
Item # 8
