HUTTON, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR`,, J` <br />SUBJECT: APPROVE THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE STORM DAMAGE <br />REPAIRS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF VALLEY BLVD. FROM HERMOSA <br />AVE. TO APPROXIMATELY 400 FEET WEST. <br />DATE: JUNE 17, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND: The City of Colton applied the State -Federal Aid funds for emergency <br />storm repairs, approximately 400 feet of curb, gutter and roadway damaged along Valley Blvd., <br />west of Hermosa Ave., which occurred during the storm of February 2, 1998. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: In order to receive the storm damaged reimbursement funds from <br />the Department of Transportation, office of local programming, the city must provide a certified <br />update "authorizing resolution." <br />Staff has prepared the authorizing Resolution required for Program Supplement Agreement <br />No. 001-M, for Federal Aid Project No. 08-5065 for the above referenced project, and upon <br />receiving said storm repair funds, they should be placed in Account No. 100-7822 to reimburse <br />prior year's storm damage cost. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: In 1998 the storm damage expenditure was $17,260 and this will be a <br />100% reimbursable in 1999/2000 fiscal year. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: In order for the City to receive reimbursement from the State Federal <br />Aid Program, staff recommends approval of the attached Resolution approval of the official <br />name and signature authorized to execute the agreement. <br />Item 4 17 <br />
