GARCIA, CITY MANAGER I % <br />FROM: AL HOLLIMAN, FINANCE DIRECTOR L v` 74 <br />SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR RECRUITMENT AND RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO <br />THE FULL-TIME POSITION OF SENIOR ACCOUNTANT IN THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: JULY 1, 1999 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Senior Accountant position in the Finance Department is currently vacant. Attached is the job description <br />for the classification; salary range is $3,082 - $3,746 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS <br />Recruitment for said position will be conducted and an eligibility list established upon Council approval. The <br />candidate chosen will meet the education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />This is a General Fund position and is funded for the 1999-2000 fiscal year as follows: 100-6040-6041-1010 <br />(salary) and 100-6040-6041-1100 (benefits). <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is recommended that Council approve the recruitment and ratification of the employee appointment to the full- <br />time position of Senior Accountant as recommended by the Finance Director. <br />Attachments: Job Description <br />Page I of l <br />Item #9 <br />
