CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of June 15, 1999 <br />To: Honorable Mayor & Council Members <br />Approval: Henry Garcia, City Manage 1i <br />From: Dennis Morris, Human Resource Director <br />Carolyn Jones, Childcare Manager <br />Subject: Request For On -Going Recruitment And Ratification Of <br />Employee Appointment To The Part -Time Positions Of <br />Community ChildCare Teacher's Helpers, Teacher's Aides <br />And Teachers In The Child Care Division For Fiscal Years <br />99/01. <br />Date: Junel,1999 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />There are three (3) vacant part-time Child Care Teacher s Helper positions in the Child <br />Care Division. Attached is the job description for the classification and the salary is <br />based on an hourly rate of $5.50. <br />There are three (3) vacant part-time Child Care Teacher's Aide positions in the Child <br />CareDivision. Attached is the job description forthe classification and the salary is <br />based on an hourly rate of $7.00. <br />There are three (3) vacant part-time Child Care Teacher positions in the Child Care <br />Division. Attached is thejob description for the classification and the salary is based on <br />an hourly rate of $10.00. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Recruitment for said positions is classified as "on-going." Recruitment's are conducted <br />and eligibility lists established as needed throughout the year. The rate of employee <br />turnover is higher then those of full-time positions.
