CyYIIY0MWI Ml
AGENDA REPORT
For City Council Meeting of June 6, 2000
TO: Honorable Mayor and City, ouncil
APPROVAL Henry Garcia, City Mana
FROM: John C. Hutton, Public Works Director
SUBJECT: Additional Right of Way Dedication, 590 West C Street
DATE: March 8, 2000
BACKGROUND:
C Street is a heavily traveled east -west collector street connecting the east and west portions of the city via
a grade separation at the B.N. & S.F. railroad tracks. The section of C Street between Rancho Avenue and
Pennsylvania Avenue has developed over the years. This sporadic development has created a roadway of
varying widths.
DISCUSSION:
A request was received to have the off-site improvements installed at 590 west C Street. In order for the
proposed curb to align with the existing curbing to the west it is necessary that the property owner grant to
the public a right to use that portion of the property for street purposes. A deed has been prepared granting
to the City a right to use an additional 5.00 feet of that property.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that Council accept the offer of dedication of additional right of way and authorize the
recordation of the attached document conveying such rights to the public.
Attachments:
Resolution
Item # 10
